SOTD - Just Like You // Viagra Boys

Happy (belated) New Year everyone! Here’s to new beginnings. To kick things off, I figured we’d get started with a wake up call.

The first song of the day is Just Like You by the Viagra Boys.

For those who don’t know, the Viagra Boys are an energetic post-punk band from Stockholm Sweden. Formed in 2015, the band went on to produce 4 albums, 3 live recordings and 3 EP’s starting in 2016. Today’s song is from their first album released in 2018.

It was all a dream

Yeah, just in miniature size

And I saw life

A decent chunk of the first verse, but it sounds like such a normal and common dream. A regular occurrence for many people. But the way Sebastian Murphy turns it around to grow, a wake up call:
